Balances for Breakthroughs: Specialized Kinesiology

Dr. Green is trained in a number of Specialized Kinesiologies and is available to do Balances. When you receive a session of Specialized Kinesiology it is called, receiving a Balance.

Balances bring about:

• integrating the whole brain integration
• transforming worn out habits of body and mind
• identifying and uprooting core limiting beliefs
• identifying sources of stress in the body/mind,
in the physical/energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual realms
• clearing those specific stressors
• restoring balance and harmony, free from core limiting beliefs and
  stress
• taking effortless action in your life
• provisiding a tool kit of life long resources for your use in order to
  balance and harmony

Specialized Kinesiology is the art of assessing the energetic systems of a person by using precision muscle testing as a biofeedback mechanism. Using the same feedback, a Specialized Kinesiologist identifies appropriate protocols for promoting, restoring and maintaining balance within these energetic systems.

Muscle testing (called Applied Kinesiology), the biofeedback mechanism used in specialized kinesiology, was developed by George Goodhart in 1964. AK utilizes muscle testing to evaluate the structural, biochemical, mental, and emotional aspects of well-being.

Practitioners from various fields of education, physiology, health and healing, subtle medicine, and transpersonal psychology employed the methodology of AK, along with research within their own disciplines, to create a number of schools of specialized kinesiology.

Dr. Green is trained in Educational Kinesiology, Biological Kinesiology, and Transformational Kinesiology, (three types of Specialized Kinesiology) and has been actively using these methods in her practice since 1988.

History of Educational Kinesiology and Brain Gym
Brain Gym began in the 1970’s with the work of educators Dr. Paul Dennison and Gail E. Dennison. For thirteen years they conducted research in learning how it is people learn. Dr. Paul Dennison was convinced that there must be easier ways to learn. They drew from a large body of research by developmental specialists who had been experimenting with using physical movement to enhance learning ability.
The Dennisons produced an innovative new approach to learning: the Brain Gym activities, and the field known as Education Kinesiology (Edu-K), “learning through movement.”

What is Brain Gym?
Brain Gym is a program of physical movements that enhance learning and performance in ALL areas. Brain Gym develops the brain's neural pathways the way nature does – through movement.

Brain Gym includes 26 easy and enjoyable targeted activities that integrate body and mind to bring about rapid and often dramatic improvements in:

• Concentration
• Memory
• Focus
• Reading
• Comprehension of what we read
• Writing
• Organizing
• Listening
• Comprehending what we hear
• Physical coordination, and more.

Brain Gym is used in more than 80 countries and is taught in thousands of public and private schools worldwide and in corporate, performing arts, and athletic training programs.

What happens in a whole brained integrative balance?
Essentially, sources of stress are identified in one’s “brain profile,” in relation to any activity or issue about which we would like to be stress free.
Diagnostic tests are performed to see where the stress is located in the brain.
Are the left and right hemispheres of the brain in good communication? Are we able to see the big picture and relate the pieces of the puzzle to the big picture?
How about the front and back of the brain?. Are they co-ordinated and working well together, which affects our ability to focus?

What about the top and bottom portions of our brain? These two components affect, our ability to stay centered as we receive and organize information.
After the “profile” is assessed, you, as the student or client are given the specifically appropriate method (which may include movement, breathing, or affirmations) to correct the points of stress found.

Results
As a result new neural pathways in the brain are activated. These new neural pathways cause the brain to function with a greater degree of efficiency.
Having received a whole integration balance you notice that former stress producing activities, on physical, mental and emotional levels are easier to perform, more effortless. Effortless and easy are the watchwords of Edu-K. As a recipient of Edu-K, you feel as though you have moved from a worn out, slow moving frontage road onto a superhighway.

Maintaining Your Balance
You are also given the tools to maintain the superhighway when you leave the session. These are lifelong tools that can be applied to any number of situations, in addition to the situation for which you sought the balance.

Other Schools of Specialized Kinesiology Utilized by Dr. Green
Biological Kinesiology (now called Wellness Kinesiology) developed by Wayne Topping (a Ph.D in physiology), examines the relationship between internal organ systems, emotional states, and health.

Transformational Kinesiology was developed by Gethe Fremming and Ralf Hausbol from Denmark. TK is concerned with balancing the subtle energies within the body-mind.

Dharma K.
Dr. Green is the founder of Dharma K. Applied Kinesiology is used in concert with the teachings of Buddhism to help those interested progress along their spiritual paths.

Tools for Life
As with Educational Kinesiology, having received a balance from any of the Specialized Kinesiolgies, you will be given multiple tools, good for the rest of your life, to help you maintain a dynamic sense of well-being.

Dr. Green is particularly skilled at helping you ferret out your core limiting beliefs, and uprooting them at their sources.
